Horn blower candlestick by Christel and Christer Holmgren

Description: Height 14 cm.
The candlestick is designed for and produced by Illums Bolighus in the 1960s.
They are marked "Made in Denmark - Pat. Pending".
The horn blower candleholder is made of solid cast iron and has room for six lights.
It is also produced in a version with room for three lights - this is stackable, like the Nagel candle holders.
The candlestick has lacquered "feet" so that it does not scratch a wooden table.
They have room for either ordinary candlelight in it in or the long light sticks / flower sticks.
Christel and Christer Holmgren Exner is a Swedish / Austrian design couple who settled in Denmark in the 1960s. The couple designed Blue Time and Rosaline for Holmegaard, Melamin kitchen utensils for Rosti, steel for Lundtofte and much much more.
The candleholders are both original from the 1960s.
